How to Get Verified Google Authorship for Your Website-Technical Information Zone

How to Get Verified Google Authorship for Your WebsiteGoogle Authorship

Google have started their Authorship program because they are trying to make people accountable for the articles that they write.
It used to be that people were manipulating the search engines by uploading a lot of articles at one time in certain places such as link farms.  Google started to do away with link farms by making it so that the links coming from link farms were no longer applicable in their search engine optimization the guidelines.
Google Authorship
Google Authorship
Where did this leave people who wanted to link build?
Google started to say that blogs were now more applicable towards search engine optimization.  The theory behind this was that blog masters would not knowingly allow poor content to be posted on their blogs.  In this way the quality of online articles and blogs was being administered and monitored by the blog masters themselves.  This idea seems to have had a limited effect, which is resulted in Google coming up with a new idea.  This idea was called Google Authorship.
How did Google authorship help online article quality?
The Google authorship program makes people accountable for their own work.  People who link their Google+ profile to theirONLINE WORK are basically putting their names onto it within the eyes of Google.  This means that if a piece of work is of a particularly low quality, then this will negatively affect the reputation of the author behind it.  This is Google’s newest way of ensuring that search engine results remain of (at least) a partially high quality.
How do you sign up for Google authorship program?
How to Get Verified Google Authorship for Your Website
How to Get Verified Google Authorship for Your Website
  1. First you need to sign up with Google+ and create yourself a Google+ profile.
  2. You will need to upload a reasonably high quality photograph that shows your head shot.
  3. You need to create yourself a byline that contains your name.  This byline will appear on each of your contents pages.  Your byline name is going to have to match that of your Google+ profile.
  4. Now you have to verify that you have an email address that is on the same domain as your content.  If this is the case then you can go to your Google+ profile and claim authorship over the article that has been uploaded.
  5. This means that if you enter an article onto a guest blog, then you will need to make sure that your e-mail address is visible, and that the blog is compatible with the Google authorship program.  If this is the case then you’ll be able to claim authorship over a guest post, and people will be able to find your article via the Google+ profile
Claiming authorship of your own work
For obvious reasons, it is a very good idea to make sure that you claim authorship of your own blog.  It is all well and good going on to other people’s blogs and unloading to your work on them, but if you are not even claiming authorship of your own blogs, then you are losing out on a lot of potential credibility online.
What to do when you upload content onto your own website
First, you need to make sure that your website is fully compatible with the Google authorship program.
Once you have done that, you simply need to make sure that you claim authorship of your work.  It may not be a good idea to claim authorship of all of your work that you post online. If you produce work of a sufficiently low quality, there is a good chance that your authorship rating is going to take a knock.
Consider either only posting good quality WORK ONLINE, or simply creating a fake bio and name for work that you are not particularly proud of. It may be a better idea than letting your authorship rating suffer every time you upload some thin or shaky content. Claiming authorship over just the high quality content is what everybody does.
Check whether the Authorship is working for you or not by using the Rich Snippets tool in Google Webmasters tool: Rich Snippets Testing Tool

LG G4 review - the company's best phone yet

LG G4 is the company's best smartphone yet
LG G4 is the company's best smartphone yet
It takes a hell of a lot to stand out in the smartphone world these days, particularly in the crowded Android market.
But with the LG G4, LG’s flagship phone for 2015, it's focussing on practicality rather than flashy features, resulting in the company’s best phone yet.
Large with a slightly-curved rear and a 5.5-inch quad-HD 2560 x 1440 display (sharper than an iPhone 6 Plus’s 1920 x 1080 screen), it’s offered up in two variants -- one with a textured plastic backplate and a “premium version” with a leather-stitched back cover.
While not unattractive, it’s not as sleek as other flagship Android phones such as theSamsung Galaxy S6 or HTC One M9, but it makes up for this in usability -- the rear plate can be removed, allowing you to swap out a depleted 3,000mAh battery for a fresh one. That’s something which few top-tier phones offer anymore, and is a welcome feature.
Under the hood sits a speedy Snapdragon 808 processor which, thanks to LG making only minimal additions to the stock Android interface, whips through apps and tasks at a ferocious speed.
The 16MP camera also impresses. With a super-fast f/1.8 aperture, it’s able to capture detailed pictures in very low light conditions, with a "laser focus" system that does well to keep everything from becoming a blurry mess. Plenty of manual controls let you tweak your image to your hearts content too, with RAW file output for photography pros.
Though it won’t win any style awards, LG is looking to solve real problems with the G4. Anyone that’s ever lamented a missed nightclub photo op, or been left caught short by battery woes would do well to give the LG G4 a look.

How To Make Computer Secure-Technical Information Zone

PC Security Tips : Make Computer Secure

Here are some tips which will enable you to make your PC more secure.

Anti-virus

1. Never, ever turn off the resident protection of your antivirus even if it decreases performance. Upgrade if necessary.

2. Keep your virus definitions up-to-date. Use the automatic update feature of your anti-virus and try not to ignore the "Do you want to update now" message however often it might pop up.

3. Even if you update regularly and you have not seen any suspicious activity on your PC, do a deep scan at least once a month.

4. Always create an emergency boot disk and keep it in a safe place.

PC Security tips

5. Run a deep scan in safe mode at least once every two months to kill viruses that would otherwise remain hidden.

Firewalls

1. If you are unsure about the alert displayed by your firewall, try searching it on the internet.

2. A firewall is a powerful tool that requires an understanding of how the program works and exactly what it is doing and whether it is secure or not. Reading the help files is extremely important in successful configuration of your firewall.

Computer Security

3. If you are running a third party firewall,be sure to turn off the Windows Firewall.

4. You can temporarily disable a firewall by right clicking the icon in the tray. This is handy when you know a site is one you can trust but your firewall is blocking it. But remember to re-enable it as soon as possible.

5. Read firewall notices carefully when they pop up so that you don't let a bad thing in or prevent good traffic.

Anti-Spyware

1. You should regularly check for updates. Enable the automatic update feature.

2. Remember to do a scan every now and then, or schedule scans if your program allows it. If you don't want to sit that long for scans to complete, use a single folder for all your downloads, then scan only that folder, Windowsinstallation folder and the Registry. Alternately, you can do a quick scan if your program allows it.

7 Wi-Fi Hacks to Boost Your Speed-Technical Information Zone

7 Wi-Fi Tweaks to Increase Your Speed

Chances are if you have a wireless internet connection at your home, you have had some trouble with the speed of the connection at least once before. That being said, a slow wireless connection can be frustrating to deal with. You are probably paying good money to your internet service provider, so slow speed is something you should not have to deal with, right? Well, the truth is wireless speed can be affected by a number of things. Luckily there are some Wi-Fi tweaks you can try that should help boost your speed and get you rolling in no time.

1. Reposition Your Router

The position of your wireless router plays a major role in the speed and strength of your wireless connection. If you are having trouble, you should try to reposition your router in a centrally located area, where the signal can equally reach each wireless device in your house. If your router is near an outside wall, try to move it closer to the middle of your house. Routers that are placed near outside walls can send some of the signal outside, which can risk your wireless connection’s strength and speed.

2. Purchase a Wireless Signal Repeater

Adding a wireless signal repeater to your home network can greatly increase the speed of your connection. A repeater works by extending your signal without having to add any additional wires. All you have to do is simply place the wireless repeater in a location that is between your router and your wireless device(s). It will instantly boost the wireless signal that is sent from the router to your devices, meaning faster speeds for you.

3. Install a New Antenna

Most wireless routers come standard with an omnidirectional antenna, meaning it broadcasts the wireless signal in a circular radius to reach various places in your home. If your router is in a perfectly centered location between all of your wireless devices, this is probably fine. But if your router isn’t perfectly centered among devices, you should think about replacing the existing antenna with a stronger one, known as a high-gain antenna. You can usually remove your old antenna and replace it with one of these stronger antennas to boost your signal strength, therefore increasing the speed of your connection. Another perk of a high-gain antenna is its ability to focus the wireless signal in any direction you prefer.

Increase Wireless internet Speed

4. Use One Brand of Equipment

You may not think that using different brands of equipment can reduce the speed of your wireless connection, but in reality it can. If you use different brands of equipment, your components may not work as efficiently. This is because many manufacturers of wireless networking equipment pre-install enhancements in all of their products. These enhancements can boost speed, but will only work if products from the same manufacturer are used simultaneously. If you are using various brands of equipment and your speed is suffering, this is definitely worth a try.

5. Reduce Frequency Interference

Many household electronics, such as cordless telephones and baby monitors, run at the same frequency as wireless routers. This means that these electronic devices can interfere with the wireless signal that is being broadcast from your router, which can affect the speed and performance of your connection. Check the box of your router to see what frequency it runs at, and try to avoid using other electronic devices that operate at the same frequency. You can also try to change the channel on your router to avoid frequency interference.

6. Check for Firmware or Driver Updates Regularly

The manufacturers of wireless routers and network adapters often release firmware or driver updates that can improve the function of your wireless connection. You can find and download these updates at the manufacturers’ websites. Updates are usually done to fix issues, add features, and strengthen your equipment’s performance. Check for these updates on a regular basis to make sure your firmware and drivers are always kept up to date.

7. Secure Your Wireless Network

If your network is not properly secured, neighbors could be using your signal. This can reduce the speed of your connection because you are in a sort, sharing the wireless signal. Set up secure passwords and some sort of wireless encryption that will prevent anyone else from accessing your wireless network. All of these Wi-Fi tweaks can greatly boost the speed of your wireless connection. If one of them does not seem to do the trick, try another or even a multitude of options. It may take a little time and patience, but once you figure out what works to speed up your connection, you will be happy you put forth the effort.
